Ostensoir Néogothique – XIXe

Notre imposant ostensoir à très riche décors est en laiton doré.
Il repose sur un pied polylobé à six passes enrichit de six médaillons émaillés bleus assortis représentant la Sainte Vierge en Gloire, les quatre Evangélistes et le Christ en Croix.
La tige est agrémentée d’un nœud avec cabochons. Un séraphin agenouillé supporte la lunule centrale, il est entouré d’en ensemble de flèches, fleurons et pinacles et de niches où sont présents, gardiens de l’hostie offerte à l’Adoration, Saint Joseph et Sainte Thérèse d'Avila, à qui répondent Saints Pierre et Paul.
Au-dessus du dais, la figure de Dieu le Père dans la Nuée est accompagné de la colombe du Saint-Esprit.  Une croix somme et achève la présentation de ce chef d’œuvre d’orfèvrerie du XIXe.

Our spectacular monstrance with very rich decorations is made of gilded brass. It rests on a polylobed foot with six passes enriched with six matching blue enameled medallions representing the Holy Virgin in Glory, the four Evangelists and Christ on the Cross.
The stem is decorated with a knot with cabochons. A kneeling seraph supports the central lunula, it is surrounded by a set of arrows, fleurons and pinnacles and niches where are present, guardians of the host offered in Adoration, Saint Joseph and Saint Teresa of Avila, to whom Saints Peter and Paul respond.
Above the canopy, the figure of God the Father in the Cloud is accompanied by the dove of the Holy Spirit.
A cross sums up and completes the presentation of this masterpiece of 19th century goldsmithing.
