L’Education de la Vierge – Groupe en bois – fin XVIe

Voilà une imposante représentation d’art populaire, mais pleine de grâce, où Sainte Anne délivre une instruction pieuse et morale à sa fille. Une statue qui ne doit pas sa présence qu'à ses importantes dimensions.
Un travail du Rhin ou Flamand, de la fin du XVI ou du début XVIIe.
Sculpté ronde-bosse, le groupe a été vernis afin de figer sa détérioration car le bois à sa  base a souffert.
Dimensions de 95 cm de haut sur 40 de large et 33 de profondeur.

This is an imposing representation of folk art, but full of grace, where Saint Anne delivers pious and moral instruction to her daughter. A work from the Rhine or Flemish, from the end of the 16th or the beginning of the 17th century.
Carved in the round, the group has been varnished in order to freeze its deterioration because the wood at its base has suffered. Dimensions: 95 cm high by 40 wide and 33 deep.

An elegant pair of giltwood monstrances decorated with scrolls and acanthus leaves. The first houses in a central medallion, notable ex-ossibus relics of Saint Columbi, Martyr. Numerous relics are present in the second, those of Saint Anne, Saint Joseph husband of our holy Virgin, Saint Lawrence Martyr, Saint Elizabeth, Saint Luke bishop and Saint Devota, Virgin and Martyr. An Italian work of the 18th century - on the back are traces of old wax seals.
Dimensions: 64 cm high by 24 cm wide and 12 cm deep.
Used condition - small accidents and some losses to the gilding.
