Relique de la Sainte Croix dans un reliquaire en or – XIXe – Réservée

Un trésor !  Cette croix reliquaire en cristal et entourée d’or finement ciselé, honore une relique de la Sainte Croix. Elle est accompagnée de son authentique datée du 25 mai 1847. Pas de poinçon mais le certificat confirme qu’il s’agit bien d’or. Voici la traduction partielle de cet authentique : « Frère Joseph M. Castellani,de l’Ordre des Ermites de Saint Augustin, par la grâce de Dieu et du Siège Apostolique, évêque de Porphyre, prélat domestique de Sa Sainteté, préfet, assistant au trône pontifical. Certifions par les présentes lettres que, pour la plus grande gloire du Dieu tout-puissant et le culte de ses saints, nous avons donné une parcelle : « extraite du bois de la Vraie Croix de Notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ ». Très Bel état Dimensions de la croix de 9 cm sur 6.5 cm et 1 cm d’épaisseur. Référence 862
