Insigne de sainteté de camériers secrets – XXe

Datant du pontificat de Pie XII  (1939 -1958) en argent doré et émail bleu, dela maison Cravanzola, active à Rome à partir de 1871, cet insigne était portée par un Gentilhomme au service du souverain Pontife.
Ils sont les discrets collaborateurs du Saint Père dans son quotidien. Chargés de veiller au protocole, de l’organisation du palais apostolique et d’accueillir les hôtes du Pape, ils font partie de la  famille de la Maison pontificale.
Dimensions de 3,5 cm, dans son étui d’origine, en cuir rouge, arborant des armoiries papales dorées, présentant notamment la tiare et les clés du Vatican.
Une pièce de collectionneur, assurément.

Dating from the pontificate of Pius XII (1939–1958), made of gilded silver and blue enamel, fromthe Cravanzola workshop, which operated in Rome beginning in 1871, this insignia was wornby a gentleman in the service of the Supreme Pontiff.
They are the discreetassistants to the Holy Father in his daily life. Responsible for overseeingprotocol, managing the Apostolic Palace, and welcoming the Pope’sguests, they are part of the family of the Papal Household.
Measuring 3.5 cm, in its original red leather case, featuring thegilded papal coat of arms, notably the tiara and the keys to the Vatican.
Undoubtedly a collector’s item.
