Grand Reliquaire Paperolles – Christ En Croix – XIXe

e Christ en croix, en stuc polychromé est la spécificité de ce reliquaire. C’est là une présentation assez rare. Il est entouré d’un fin montage de paperolles dorées reposant sur un fond rouge, en échos au sang du Sauveur.
Quatre reliques l’accompagnent, il s’agit des Saintes Agnès et Christine et des Saints Clair et Innocent.
Un ouvrage de dévotion d’une congrégation de la toute fin du XVIIIe ou du début XIXe.

The Christ on the cross, in polychrome stucco, is the specificity of this reliquary. This is a rather rare presentation. It is surrounded by a fine montage of golden paperolles resting on a red background, echoing the blood of the Savior.
Four relics accompany it, these are Saints Agnes and Christine and Saints Clair and Innocent.
A devotional work of a congregation from the very end of the 18th or the beginning of the 19th century.
