Buste Reliquaire Sculpté – XVIIe

Description

Buste Reliquaire en bois sculpté polychrome et doré sur son socle.
Il s’agit d’un Saint homme à la couronne fleuri, laquelle symbolise la récompense divine accordée au saint pour sa vie de vertu et de dévotion.
Ses bras sont ouverts, coudes au corps, portant sur la poitrine un grand médaillon ovale encadré d’un cuir recevait autrefois une relique en médaillon.
Dos ouvrant à une petite porte métallique (sans clé).
A noter de petits accidents et restaurations – socle rapporté.
Un travail Espagnol fin XVIe – début XVIIe.
Dimensions de 33 cm sur 22 cm et 21 cm de profondeur

Reliquary bust in polychrome and gilded carved wood on its base. It is a Holy man with a flowery crown, arms open, elbows to the body, wearing a large oval medallion framed in leather on his chest. Back opening to a small metal door (without key). Missing the medallion on the front Note small accidents and restorations.
A 17th century Spanish work.
