Tendre école Flamande du premier tiers du XVIIe, notre huile sur panneau en chêne légèrement bombé porte une signature ou une annotation de Flo.Colli.
Sur la gauche se trouve saint François d’Assise, reconnaissable à la bure brune et sur la gauche figure Saint benoit offrant un plateau avec une croix et un petit bouquet.
Benoit représentant la vie monastique régulière et François la vie évangélique. Cette heureuse réunion est un bel équilibre spirituel.
Bon état, petites lacunes et usures, restaurations notamment dans les fonds. Trace de fente verticale vers le centre.

A tender Flemish painting from the first third of the 17th century, this oil on a slightly convex oak panel bears a signature or annotation by Flo. Colli. On the left is Saint Francis of Assisi, recognizable by his brown habit, and to the right is Saint Benedict offering a platter with a cross and a small bouquet.
Benedict represents the regular monastic life, and Francis the evangelical life. This harmonious union is a beautiful spiritual balance. The painting is in good condition, with minor losses and wear, and restorations, particularly in the background.
There is a trace of a vertical crack near the center.
The painting measures 44.5 cm x 33.5 cm and is mounted on lightly tinted glass in an aluminum frame measuring 67 cm x 56 cm. Reference 434
